Eyebrow Transplant

Overview

Hair loss in the brow can cause thinning and shortening of the brow. Brow hair transplantation using follicular unit extraction (FUE) technique is an excellent technique to replace hair in the brow.

In brow hair transplantation using FUE technique, each hair follicular unit (FU) is harvested one by one from the scalp in the back of the head using a special harvester. The FU is trimmed and implanted into the desired area in the brow. New hair will grow from the implanted FU to produce a new brow with desired shape and length. Eyebrow transplant results are virtually indistinguishable from a natural brow with the transplanted hairs blending right in with the existing brow.

Objective

To restore brow to the desired shape, thickness and length with living hair follicular units.

Preoperative Preparation

Duration

3-4 hours  to perform the procedure

Procedure

Anesthesia: Local anesthesia

When to Go Home after Procedure: Immediately after procedure

Back to Work: The next day

Technique:

In our hair transplantation practice we utilize follicular unit extraction (FUE) technique. No incision is made on the donor site. Instead donor hair follicles are extracted one by one in the donor area. As such there will be no surgical scars left behind in the donor site. The extracted hair follicles will be prepared and implanted one by one into the brow. The transplanted hair will live and grow in the brow and recreate a brow according to individual desired shape, thickness and length.
