Before & After
Objective
Remove excess fat from targeted area in the body (e.g. tummy bulges, love handles around the flanks and saddle bags around the thighs)
Sculpture the body to desirable contour and shape
Eliminate fat pockets that are resistant to diet and exercise
Surgical Procedure
Anesthesia: Local anesthesia with painless Klein Fluid
When to Go Home after Surgery: May go home the same day, no hospitalized require.
Back to work: Average 1-3 days, depends on the extent of liposuction
Technique: The 3rd generation of vaser + tumescent liposuction.
Duration
Average 2-3 hours per part. Total duration depends on the amount of fat and the number of parts of body involved
Preoperative Preparation
Avoid taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, and indomethacin for 14 days before surgery. You should also stop taking antural remedies like St John's Wort, Ginko Biloba, garlic, green tea, and anything with vitamin E one week before surgery.
Do not smoke for 14 days before and after surgery. Smoking can increase the risk of infection and reduce the body's ability to heal.
Do not consume alcohol for five days before surgery. Alcohol can increase the risk of bleeding.
Shower with antibacterial soap and avoid applying moisturizer or topical treatments to the area.
Stop exercise one week before surgery
Recovery
• Rest well and limit movement in the first 1-2 days. Actual recovery time depends on the extent of the liposuction
• Swelling and bruises may be present for around one to two weeks
• Most patients are able to ambulate from day one after operation
• Patient is to complete the antibiotics prescribed
• Compression garment is required to help support the skin for at least two weeks.
• Avoid alcohol, alcohol is a blood thinner and can increase the risk of complications after surgery.
